Pensioeninnovatie in Nederland en de wereld: Nederland kampioen in pensioen?

Recent kwam in het nieuws dat Nederland opnieuw een plaatsje gezakt is op de z.g. Global Pensioen Index (Australian Centre for Financial Studies, 2014). Nederland stond tot voor kort op de eerste plaats en was daarmee 'pensioenkampioen'. Maar Denemarken stootte ons vorig jaar van de troon en dit jaar passeerde ook Australië ons land. Moeten we ons zorgen maken? En hoe wordt Nederland weer 'pensioenkampioen'? Daarover gaat deze oratie. Eerst maken we in paragraaf 1 een reis rond de wereld om te leren van de ontwikkelingen in het buitenland. Vervolgens gaat paragraaf 2 in op de sterke en zwakke kanten van de Nederlandse pensioentraditie. Paragraaf 3 doet een aantal concrete voorstellen voor heruitvinding van deze traditie: door pensioeninnovatie wordt Nederland weer kampioen in pensioen. Paragraaf 4 concludeert.
